Team Fiji Update

Team Fiji has been overseas for nearly four weeks! Here’s what they have been up to…

“For the first week, our team helped out with a medical outreach centre giving out free healthcare and support for the villagers. This involved assisting the dentists, testing eyes, prescribing reading glasses, handling the Post-Op information as well as procedures, and evangelising to everyone who came to the clinic. After the clinic, our team organised outreach and evangelism times to be done throughout the town of Lautoka as well as in the local hospital.

Week two consisted of a lot of outward encouragement and support ministry. This included going into a prison, visiting special needs schools, and visiting an old care home where we played music and shared our testimonies.

At the beginning of week 3, we travelled from Lautoka to Suva to work with the YWAM Youth Centre here. We have now been doing evangelism, busking in the city, and working with the youth clubs in this town.

Here is a testimony from one of our times in town:

While our team was playing some worship songs in the central part of town, one of our members, Sandra, felt lead to go and talk to a man who was listening to our music. As she talked with him, he explained to her that his skin was irritated and often itchy. After asking his permission, Sandra prayed for him to be healed. As they continued their conversation he informed her that he felt better. From there Sandra was able to explain that it was Jesus that healed him. She also told him the full gospel story and their conversation ended with the man giving his life to the Lord. Praise God!”

Please be praying our team, and for the people of Fiji to encounter the love of Christ.
