TOOWOOMBA BUSKING FESTIVAL
The Toowoomba Busking Festival is an annual event with a goal to bless our city and fill the streets of Toowoomba with music, art, and creativity. The event date for 2024 is coming soon.
Run for the first time in 2018, Toowoomba Busking Festival is a yearly YWAM Toowoomba Initiative in partnership with the Toowoomba Regional Council, Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce and local businesses throughout the CBD of the city of Toowoomba.
How does it work?
Buskers fill the CBD during the morning of the event and spend the day busking at multiple locations through the city. Judges watch the performances and pick their top buskers for the finals. Later on, on Main Stage, finalists get a shot at taking home the grand prize and title of Toowoomba Busking Festival winner.
But this busking festival isn’t just about finding the best busker. During the event, there is also a people’s choice award as voted by friends, family, and any passer-by who enjoys that particular busker. It’s a great opportunity for the public to get involved in the music scene as the event rolls out.
Not only is there a busking competition running during TBF, we also provide live music during the day on the main stage and other stages around the CBD, partnering with businesses in the city and also providing other festivities for the general public to enjoy.
